Welcome to the Community Trust of Southland

Te Pou Arataki Pounamu o Murihiku - "the stanchion that all pathways in Murihiku lead to where people obtain the treasures that enable them to fulfill their aspirations"

The Community Trust of Southland is your community owned grant-making organisation. We support charitable or non-profit groups and organisations, throughout the region, by giving grants for projects or initiatives which benefit the Southland community.

We make grants across a range of areas including:

  • Arts, Culture and Heritage
  • Community Economic Development
  • Education
  • Environment
  • Health and Social Services
  • Sport and Recreation

We also support and encourage emerging and talented people to achieve their goals through Art, Education, Health, Sport, Outward Bound and Community Leadership Scholarships.

Each year we grant between $8-10 million to support your community.
