Major Grants (Over $50,000)
The Community Trust of Southland accepts grant applications for amounts over $50,000 once a year, in order that the Trustees can consider at one time the full range of major projects community organisations wish to undertake, and determine which ones are priorities for Trust funding. The application process is a two stage process which initially requires completion of and Expression of Interest form, briefly outlining the project. Following consideration of these Expressions of Interest, groups will then be invited to submit a full Grant Application, which must be completed by 29 October 2010. Decisions for the over $50,000 grant round will be announced by the Trust in March 2011. Community groups and organisations who wish to apply to the Trust for a grant of over $50,000 must submit an Expression of Interest in order to be included in a Major grant funding round. CTOS is committed to ensuring projects, programmes and facilities funded through grants are accessible to all in the community. It is therefore the Trust's policy to have an Accessibility Audit undertaken for grant requests over $50,000 that are for a publicly available facility.
