Annual Public Meeting 1/08/2010 The 22nd Annual Public Meeting of The Community Trust of Southland, is to be held at 5.30 pm, Tuesday 24th August 2010 at the Queenstown Memorial Hall, Man Street, Queenstown. All members of the public are welcome to attend.
Major Grants (Over $50,000) Applications Close 1 September 2010 1/08/2010 CTOS accepts grant applications for amounts over $50,000 once a year. The application process has two stages which initially requires completion of an Expression of Interest. Following consideration of the Expressions of Interest, groups will then be invited to submit a full application which must be completed by 29 October 2010. Decisions for Major Grants (Over $50,000) will be announced by CTOS in March 2011. For information on how to apply
Charities Commission Forums 14/04/2010 The Charities Commission is hosting regional forums for charities in Invercargill on 29 April and Queenstown on 30 April 2010.This is an opportunity for charities to; receive the latest snapshot of the charities sector regionally and nationally, to learn more about Payroll Giving and other developments, and to speak one-to-one with staff from the Commission, Inland Revenue, and other agencies. New Trustees for Community Trust of Southland 29/09/09 Toni Green from Otatara, and Robin Campbell from Lochiel have been appointed as Trustees, effective from 1 October 2009. They replace Peter Redpath and Neil Wyeth, both of whom are stepping down after completing their terms of appointment as Trustees. As well as the two new appointees, the Minister of Finance has also announced the reappointment of existing Trustees Tracy Hicks and Raewynne Evans for further terms of 4 years each.
