Arts Murihiku - Trustee Vacancy (Queenstown/Wakatipu Area)


Arts Murihiku is Southland's new, regional arts body, set up through Creative New Zealand's Regional Arts Pilot.

The interim steering group of Arts Murihiku invite interested persons to apply for a governance role for the new organisation.

This is an opportunity to bring your specialist skills to Southland's arts sector and make a difference to the future creative prosperity in the southern region.

The following skills and qualities are sought:

  • Board experience and/or knowledge of governance practice
  • Financial planning, accounting, marketing or relevant professional qualifications or experience
  • An interest in contributing to a team environment
  • Vision, passion or expertise in the arts
  • Experience in cultural, youth or community sectors including Maori, Pasifika or Asian

While not a paid position, travel costs will be reimbursed to board members not based in Invercargill.
