CTOS Financial Statement & Audit Requirements

When we assess an application part of the process includes analysing your organisation's most recent financial statements to understand your financial position and sustainability.

You will also need to ensure your organisation's financial statements comply with the new financial reporting standards for public benefit entities and registered charities which take effect for financial years beginning on or after 1 April 2015.

The following are our audit requirements.

Annual Operating Expenditure of Applicant for Latest Financial Year   Community Trust of Southland's Requirements
Greater than $1 million Audited annual financial statements required*
Greater than $500,000 and up to $1 million Audited or reviewed annual financial statements required*
$500,000 or below

Annual financial statements required

The Community Trust does not require these to be audited or reviewed unless your organisation's Constitution or Trust Deed requires you to do so

* Will need to be undertaken by an independent qualified accountant.
